Be sure to take time to see the Wall That Heals - http://www.vvmf.org/twth - which has been set-up in Bicentennial Park across from Peden. I believe it is the first time that the replica Wall has been set-up in a park that designed both - Athens native Maya Lin.

A bit O.T.,but I remember the first time I saw The Wall in D.C.

Looking at it from a distance I thought "what's the big deal ?".

Then I went through it.
"Moving" doesn't say enough

It was also strange.Walking into it people were talking.
Once "inside",silence.

Stopped by today. Very moving and the "visitors center" was very interesting. Having the student tailgate area there tomorrow could be a tad weird. I hope and pray that our fans are respectful of the exhibit. It was strange visiting today with music blaring from the new speakers in the stadium.

I've twice visited the wall in D.C. Friends' names on it. Eyes misted both times. Will visit the travel wall tomorrow. Expecting more mist.

Saw the replica wall yesterday and again today. Moving and worthy of a visit. Hopefully parents will come with their OU kids. And ironic that it sits at Punch Card Park also designed by Athens native Maya Lin.

Visited the real wall in DC once. Visited the replica wall the last time it was in Athens -- Baker Center Ball Room, as I recall. I'm probably going to skip it this time. Brings back too many bad memories, and I'm just not in the mood for it at this time. Just a personal thing.
