I'm predicting great breakfast tailgating with good friends, special coffee, bacon, and other breakfast treats winning the day. A killer 110 show for the parents in attendance comes in second, and Ohio vs Kansas comes in a close third.
I suggest expanding your list to include visit to Jackie O's afterwards. Your call on where you place it in your order!
Jackie O's...great beer! Horrible service.
Had dinner there last Friday night after a movie and the service was just fine. I guess it depends on how you define great service. We're not of the Applebee's in and out in 55 minute crew. It's called dining not speed eating.

To be completely honest, I'm not feeling great about this one.

I like what I have seen from Ohio's offense, particularly with Rourke, but Ohio's defense scares me. I'm hoping that the defense recovers this week, but I call it Ohio 42,Kansas 35.

This still seems like a very possible score. If Ohio can get over 40 I like their chances, but I'd feel better if Ohio can get 50.

Although I nailed Kansas' output, I underestimated my Bobcats. Sad!

I just wish we had ended BOTH halves better. Can't give up scores at the end of the half and game...I don't care what the score was or who was in there. Let's have that killer instinct not the "let's just get this game/half over with".

True but that last score was total bs. Refs missed a clear bounce pass that everyone in the stadium could see. I hated seeing them get to 30 points.

Too bad the television replays do not support your vision.

And to prove my long standing point, some folks just can never be happy.

I'm not talking about eating out a Friday night Alan. I'm talking about standing at the bar for 10 minutes plus on a Saturday afternoon while the bartender shoots the breeze with customers. And then when you finally try to get his attention you get put at the bottom of the list for having the gall to try and get a draft beer before the game. I'm sure you snooty townies think the dinner service is fine...jeez

I'm not a snooty townie (or is it towny?), but was in town for the Hampton game. We had dinner there before the game. While we waited for a table I went to the bar for a drink and was served fairly quickly despite a good crowd. I don't eat/drink there often, but that was my recent experience.

Well if your attitude then was anything like you displayed above, I can see why you went to the bottom of the list.

Is it possible that two different customers had two different experiences at the same establishment?

Just wondering.

I apologize. I've obviously upset some locals by saying something negative about your beloved Jackie O's. Like I said, good beer! But...
Three different game days and the same crappy service! I just go to Buffalo Wild Wings across the street now. The beer isn't as tasty but it's cold and served in a prompt and professional manner.
Even with my attitude! Because their job is to exchange beer for money. Plus I can just wait in line for some at the games now. And the service at Peden is faster. ;)

Lol, not my point. I'm sure they will be fine. I'm simply letting other fans know if they want a quick beer or two before the game, I recommend NOT JACKIE O's!!!!! Sorry!

I like Jackie O's beer as well as their burgers and other food. However, I will say their service attitude kind of reminds me of what you run into in the typical Apple Store -- sort of neo-hippie (aka plastic), cultish, and arrogant all rolled into one lovable fuzz ball personality. It's kind of like, hey dude, don't you feel lucky that we've let you into this joint and aren't you impressed that someone as cool as I am is here to serve you? Despite all of this, my wife and I do go to Jackie O's fairly often.

Agreed. And maybe, just maybe, they had two different bartenders. It also depends on when you're in said establishments before a game, and it is not specific to anything other than timing prior to the game in my experience. I've experienced snail like service in BW3 in Athens equally as frequently as I have at Jackie O's or any other Athens establishment.

Whoa OU Country...look what you started! Actually, I think slow service in Athens establishments sometimes comes with the territory. Part of what bonds us to that little town is the idyllic bubble that surrounds it...insulated from time pressures and real world demands (at least for the age demographic that populates the food and beverage industry).

However, I'm an incurable beer snob, so I take hipster vibe in stride whenever I visit Jackie O's, Little Fish, etc. Just make sure you order your second one a little before you're done with your first!
