This quote made my day...

Ross, just 18, has time to grow, develop and add size. Ohio is fortunate no other FBS school snapped him up — even if the reason why remains unclear.

“I couldn’t tell you,” Albin said. “Ask KU.”

Albin deserves credit for strong output by the offense this year. Red zone performance, etc., have been good. My only question is why we have a series or 2 every game where we just look lost out there. We had a series in the third quarter last week where we had a delay of game followed by two broken plays.

I'm often the first to jump on our offense for not producing, but not many complaints in a game where we scored 42 against a P5 team (yes, only Kansas).

There seemed to be a stretch of time where the Kansas D was regularly blowing up the right side of our offensive line, but we later seemed to correct that and got our running game going again. They seemed to be quick to stop the option plays too.

We gave up 11 tackles for loss last week. About my only complaint last game. If we can keep scoring 40 or so per game, that will be okay. Mostly.

Man. Ross sure looks like the real deal, eh? (I don't even notice Irons isn't playing.)

Agree with SBH. We do seem to have several "brain fart" type series per game. Very strange.

Back to Ross. He seems to run hard/direct. But, I really don't know football well. What do others think.

Ross seems to outrun his size. As in, he breaks tackles and falls forward like a bigger tailback. Would love to see four years of this guy staying healthy and running hard.

against what everyone says is the best front 4 in the Big12.....So maybe you need to keep some things in perspective. OHIO scored 40+ points, take a chill pill and relax

The delay of game is troubling, but the 3 and outs, and series of not being in synch is just what competitive sports is about. No team has that perfect game@!

Billly,
You're making this stuff up -right? Best front 4 in the Big 12? I'm not believing it. CMU scored how many points against this juggernaut?

Kansas does have a good front four coach.

And, one of their defensive backs was the B12 defensive player of the year in 2016.

News flash, there are more players on the field of a defense than just the front four.

News flash, show me where everyone! says KU has the best front 4. You're making this stuff up as I said. You're the one that brought up the front 4 as the reason we gave up 11 TFL, not me.

Play calling has improved this season. I loved how Troy Mangen was utilized last week.

He called a pretty good game today, he continued to throw the ball even after Cope's fumble. AJ was able to get his rocks off as well.

I feel like our O-Line line is getting stronger and stronger every game. Yes we have a drive every game where we look clueless (happened when i was there and dont know why we have a mental-lapse one drive every game) but these roadgraders are going to pay dividends later in the season (pray to stay healthy). Rourke is turning out to be "that guy." Im happy he did not chose Akron. We have a really good shot and going back to Detroit.

Agreed, and we might have our best road grader coming in next year in Kurt Danneker.
