First game I get to see in person since 2015. Will be my son's first game too so I'm`excited about that but we have to leave at halftime to get to a wedding that starts about the time the game will wrap up. Unfortunately I can't talk my wife into wearing "wedding attire" to the game and sticking it out past halftime!

That messes up my plans with my son playing 9 a.m./11 a.m. doubleheader in North Newark Little League fall baseball league. And this being my first year as a parent on parents' weekend. C'mon ESPN, picking up Kansas at Ohio? Really?

Dang, if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Yes, Hurricane Irma created a void.

Believe what you want, Irma created a void in their schedule, so the moved the next best game they have. Not sure why you find that hard to believe.

Not that part at all. Trust me I'm glad we're on ESPNU.

Now we need Irma to have passed by Ohio by Friday night, which I think will happen.

Is it safe to assume that lots will be accessible at 9-9:30am?

Except for the fact that only one game is postponed this week (Miami/FSU) and it wasn't slated for a noon kickoff. This game was available to ESPN selection anyway. Irma sounds like a convenient excuse for fans to me.

The logistics of getting equipment and people into hurricane-impacted areas, uncertainty about access to electricity since millions are without power and the optics of using generators/other resources for a football game instead of emergency response might have led ESPN to it's decision.

Comparing this (https://www.seccountry.com/sec/espn-releases-dynamic-earl... ) to their current schedule, looks like they moved Clemson-L'ville from 3:30 to 8, ND-BC from noon to 3:30 and our game to noon. I was surprised to see us on ESPN3 only originally. I thought we might wind up on ASN, but I guess they're not in business anymore. At least we shouldn't have to deal with ESPN3 muck-ups this week.

Irma should be out of here by sometime Thursday, but you never know.

I've gotta think that we'll get past the road loss to Purdue easier than Kansas will get past the home loss to CMU.

There's an article in today's The Record about quarterback "quandaries".

One of the teams they talk about is Kansas, especially after last week's loss to CMU.

Count me in the camp of the time change screwing up my plans. I probably can't get there until 1:00 due to kids' sports in the morning. Grrr. Not saying we shouldn't have done it, just publicly selfishly whining is all.

FREE BICYCLE VALET PARKING AVAILABLE NEAR PEDEN STADIUM DURING SEPT. 16 OHIO FOOTBALL GAME

ATHENS, OH (Sept. 11, 2017) – Complimentary bike valet parking service is coming to OHIO football.

This Saturday, September 16, the community is encouraged to ride their bicycles to Peden Stadium for the 12 p.m. start against Kansas; OHIO’s free Bobcat Bike Valet service will take care of your bikes during the game.

Instead of fighting traffic, enjoy a ride along the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway as you make your way to the stadium to cheer on your Bobcats against the Jayhawks. Check-in your bicycle with Bobcat Bike Valet up to an hour before game-time, and return for the ride home within an hour of the end of the game. In-between, let the Bobcats care for your transportation.

Located on South Green Drive in front of Margaret M. Walter Hall, just across from Peden Stadium, Bobcat Bike Valet makes the ride to and from the game fun and easy for the whole family.

OHIO Athletics, Transportation and Parking Services and the Office of Sustainability are pleased to support an alternative ride to the game.

Now, if we could just get a Rickshaw service, OCF and the Ms.'s would be in Cat heaven!
