We're not exactly high and mighty here, especially when it's a running back with "speed" that gets caught.

Or punching horses
I thought he said the horse ran into his fist! ;-)

I agree, Burrow isn't too good for Ohio....he's WAY too good for Ohio! He has already played football in Athens for several years, it was called high school. Him coming back to Athens, Ohio to play college football would be a crime and a waste of his talents. Joe Burrow is like (Good) Will Hunting. He's sitting on a winning lottery ticket. The kid has trememdous game and can play about anywhere in the country that he wants to go (the sky is the limit). He's current battling for the #2 spot (injury aside) for the #2 ranked team in the country. Think about that for a second. He could be in line to start....START...at Ohio State next season. Think about that for a second! He's part of a program that contends and completes for NATIONAL Championships and plays in major bowl games. Not for one playing in bowls hardly anyone know about or cares about. Burrow coming back to Athens would be like Will Hunting sticking around Southie hammering blocks at a demo site. It would be a total waste of his time, ability and potential. If OSU ultimately isn't in his future then so be it. Then he should go elsewhere if that's the case. But if "elsewhere" ever became Athens, Ohio, then Ben Affleck is gonna come there and kick his ass!
LOL. My goodness. Quick, who was the backup at Clemson or Alabama last year? Nobody remembers. Mr. Burrow may suffer the same fate. Or not. But to say he shouldn't have played at Ohio or anywhere in the MAC is a bit over the top. Plenty of examples of all sorts of pro athletes who played in the MAC.

Again, my bet (ever since he signed) is his last college pass will not be for TOSU. If I'm wrong -- then good for him.

What I don't get is the people who seem to think there is only one path that can lead to success. There are multiple paths. He could have come to Ohio, been a star, and, like Brown and Basham, been drafted. He could go tOSU, work up to starter, and succeed that way, too. Heck, a player can go to EIU and get drafted, too.

He chose the way he chose, and with it good things and bad things that can happen. It's him that will have to face the consequences, whether good or bad. In the meanwhile Ohio has moved on, and has several QBs that look like they will be very good, and those are the QBs I'm focusing my attention on.

Or, if you want to take it a step further, you can think you're great, go to Ohio to play QB, not start, then transfer to EIU, thinking well you're a sure thing there. And then still get stuck behind said draftee. ;)

He can get unlimited free hamburgers from his meal plan so I don't know what he's talking about. He may not start a single game in his OSU career and he'll still graduate college with a degree and 0 debt. Seems out of touch to me.

1.5b is Forbes' valuation. Since there is no buy-sell market, worth is, let it be said, rather elusive.

Some kids like Talafiero leave this game with broken necks, CTI, torn ligaments and God knows whatever else. In most cases these athletes put in 40 hours or more Ohio State has a $1.5 billion valuation and you suspend a kid for selling his big ten title ring or getting a free tattoo. I agree with Burrow.

My teammate Corey never punched that horse. I was there that night. He was standing on the curb facing Pawpurrs and the police were on horses marching down the street. The police steered his horse towards Corey on the curb. The horse mushes Coreys back and neck area and Corey turns around and flings his arm in the air like, "Hey whats going on?" The cops get off their horses and starts antagonizing nearby students. He didnt punch a horse. Makes me mad everytime I hear it. No cuts or marks on his knuckles ever. Silliest made up story Ive ever heard of.

It wasn't like this?

I've got to say that no one took that charge seriously, and when someone bring it up, it's as a running gag, not something anyone thinks really actually happened.

Only problem is he pled no contest, which leaves a finding of guilt by the court.
