Just could not wait, as looking forward to guys coming to our home, on campus stadium. Single game and group tickets went on sale today with changes in the fan experience. Will post the map, video and link to a visiting guide to UMass.

Stay tuned. Have yet to announce all ways you can consume all six games if you cannot make it in person. Hawaii included!

UMass fans seemed pretty convinced their team would soon take the next step. Some even argued they're a prime candidate to move up into a power conference. 2-10 last year.

We are not delusional, but do have optimistic fans. Note our season tickets holders is an embarrassing small number but has increase from FCS days of around 1,500. Would guess between 2.5 and 3k.

Some good news for July 13...
We just surpassed our final football season ticket number from last year...a full 60 days ahead of 2016 pace!

Thanks for the info Steve, we are definitely planning on hosting what we call a "Bobcat Bash" in coordination with the Alumni Association, and are planning it through UMASS event services department. We hope we can meet or exceed the 235 people we had at our tailgate in 2012 at Gillette, and this is a great road trip for all those OHIO alumni that wish to visit some historic sites in Massachusetts that are tied to the founding of the state of Ohio, and our university. You bring the tequila, I'll bring the bourbon.

Thanks Steve, OUr Alumni Association is planning a Bobcat Bash through UMASS catering to be hosted in your hospitality village, details to be formally announced shortly. I'll also be grabbing a parking pass ASAP so we can get our tailgate on as early as the transportation staff will allow me to set up.

As you probably know, lot 11 and green space along Stadium Drive are sold out for parking passes. Lot 22 is the next closest and the south end maybe a good option but doubt we'd share drinks being that far away.

You can contact the UMASS ticket office to order tickets and request they are in the OHIO section. I purchased parking passes from them earlier this week as well. 1-866-UMASSTIX. The Alumni Association and local Alumni Chapter is also hosting a pregame Bobcat Bash if you would like to register at the following link: http://engage.ohio.edu/site/Calendar/939802604?view=Detai... . There may also be events planned for Friday night and Saturday post game, so stay tuned for more details as the Chapter finalizes those.

We had over 250 Bobcats at the pregame tailgate in 2012 at Gillette, and hope we can have as many this fall.

I am thinking about attending this game. Can't miss a DA Bash following the Gillette event (I have video on my phone of DA addressing the crowd from the rooftop of a rental van)

So , if I am flying from Ohio, is the best route to fly to Hartford and drive a rental car into Amherst? Has anyone made that drive and know the distance?

About an hour's drive.

PF Green in Providence/Warwick is an option if you like simpler smaller airports, but is a longer drive.

Thanks Steve. I have been to Green in Providence but I-95 can get crowded sometimes. I will use Hartford and look for a hotel near the airport. Not sure if I will plan Friday late arrival or early am Saturday. Delta has a direct from Cleveland to Hartford which works for me.

No matter what I think an early Sunday flight will be the only option getting home.

Great, will look for D.A and group for some tail gating drinks.

PS. Don't know why you'd get a hotel in Ah Connecticut when it's a 45 mile, hour ride to Amherst and 7 hotels minutes from campus and easy access to the stadium. You should really check out the area.

Seriously thinking of making it to Athens next year.

Also for history buffs and small groups, the faculty consider it their own private dining, but it is open to the public with reservation and on campus.

Going to look for a very early flight home on Sunday. Look for an Airport Marriott or the like.

Heads up for anyone traveling to the Bay State that I am coordinating a tailgate starting at 11:30am (four hours prior to kick) for any Bobcats who are making the trip to Amherst. If you want deets, PM me and I'll send you a link to my FB event. I'll be set up in Lot 22, as close as I can get to the stadium, and I do have two extra parking passes if anyone is in need. Hope to see some out of staters there, and if you haven't already registered for the Alumni Association's Official Bobcat Bash, see the link earlier in this thread to do so. And if you are traveling and need details to find the site of Bunch of Grapes Tavern in Boston, Manasseh Cutler's home/church/gravesite, Rufus Putnam's home, etc, also PM me.
