Akron outlasts BG in an ugly game, 34-23. I guess the officials were getting tired of it, because, with a minute left, they announced "First down, Ball State".

There are totally bizarre stats in the NIU- SD St game. NIU trails 31-14. After beating Nebraska using two pick sixes, NIU has given up a 96 yard kickoff return for a TD and an 83 yard interception for a td. NIU leads in first downs 15 to 7, and in yards 211 to 159, and in time of possession with 19:18.

I don't know if Ohio is the best in the MAC but close enough this season that I don't think it matters. This could be the year the ball bounces our way in Detroit.
