Sounds like kennel cough. Very contagious.

Very, very, very strange timing on this. Spring practice opens in two days. He was just involved with a court case where he was sued by a local bank for credit card debt, but the case ended up being dismissed. Also weird that the administration just extended Senderoff on the basketball side after he flirted with Fordham.

There have been rumors of DI FBS schools moving down a level due to the upcoming revenue sharing dilemma and I wouldn't be shocked one bit if Kent State was it. I don't know why you'd let your coach go for that, but maybe they're broke and cutting costs.

I remember in 2020 there was some discussion about Kent dropping D1 football, but I've not heard anything since. If they did, would they be allowed to stay in the MAC for other sports? I think with what I'll call the UMass Mandate that that would not be an option. Complicates things for sure.

I would think if they drop football, Kent gets relegated to the Horizon based on the UMass rule.

Hey, with all the money they'd save by dropping football, they could upgrade basketball and join the Big East. Wags on this board have been saying that for years, especially back when the football program was where Kent is these days.

Maybe not the Big East, but their commitment to Senderoff plus a massive investment in NIL and revenue share might say a lot of the direction they're headed.

I wonder what "massive" means in this context. I know the kind of money WMU has to work with, but will Kent live in that strastophere? And, the most important question, WTH is OHIO doing to jack up its NIL bank account? It seems the World's Best AD (tm) may be asleep at the switch.

I've donated to Ohio every year since 1980. I've earmarked donations to a range of initiatives, programs or other "buckets." I will not ever donate a dime to NIL.
