I think the offense will be solid - a lot of receptions available out there for the WRs, so high hopes someone asserts themself as a clear #1 and #2. Rodarte, Pugh, Eamonn Dennis is back, Harris, Hendricks, Delaney Crawford... big shoes to fill.

Will be fun to see the defense. Walter Bob, originally committed to Alabama and went to Hutch CC first, should be in fighting shape and ready to roll. Would be HUGE if he could pick-up where Weaver left off.

In all my years of Bobcat fandom (going back to 1990), I find this upcoming season to be the most intriguing. We are coming off one of the most successful seasons in Bobcat history. The off-season drama started within minutes of getting the MAC trophy. Sick dog, coach leaving, bowl game win, coach getting promoted, few defections to the portal...phew. And then to start with a brutal non-conference schedule.

I can't wait. I'm ready for kickoff now.

Didn't want to create a new thread, but does anyone know the scoop on the pro day? Do we have any eyes? Decker? Sam? Kinda curious where some of these kids (Tyus obv) test out.

Grant and Decker are posting results on X. Looks like Parodie is having a good day.

Roman Parodie stole the show at Ohio’s pro day, clearly making the best impression out of anyone. Here’s how his numbers would’ve stacked up at the NFL Combine among corners

Bench: 20 (2nd)
Vertical: 35 (T-11th)
Broad Jump: 10-5 (T-9th)
40 (hand-timed): 4.44 unofficial (T-11th)

Would be tied 16th in the 40. (Combine results)

Damn these kids are fast these days. Am I crazy or wasn't it barely a few years ago that someone running a 4.3 was enough to get you drafted - this year there were 10 WR alone that ran a 4.3 and another handful that ran a 4.40

Quick hand count... 23 people ran a 4.3 or faster.

Insane.

*And thank you for the updates. Awesome to see Parodie show out.

Parodie impressed big time today with 20 bench press reps today as well—he also said he ran an unofficial 4.4 40-yard dash.

Parodie has had conversations with the Chiefs, Packers, and Raiders, among others.

Those numbers might be enough to get him drafted. 20 reps at 200 pounds is crazy work. That would put him at #2 at the combine. 21 was 1st. 4.40 would make him Top 10. 35' in vert would be 11th overall.

He had very high PFF numbers. This definitely fits the profile of a draft pick.

Actually this bench press would put him last at the combine as they rep 225lbs and not 200.

Other than Bangura with a cast/boot, what were observations of the spring “game”?

Injuries on top of injuries. Adonis Williams was in a boot and Sieh on crouches. Parker had a left arm injury and Jacob Winters seemed to be injured as well. A few more top performers were injured/inactive as well.

I think the Cologne Croc (Brune) will be a weapon this year. He looks much bigger than last year and we know his speed. WR room seems to be the best position on the field. Anas Luqman might be the best DE this year but don’t forget about Ike Ackerman. Not on campus yet but I can see him making a difference this year.
