I cant let my hopes get up too much..I still cant get that 2nd half vs NIU out of my brain but looks like a solid team at this point!

Definitely a number of positives. If Rourke stays healthy his next two years, and grows more comfortable reading the defense, he can be up there with the QB of your 2nd half NIU nightmare, Harnish.
But it is a bit too early to get too optimistic. There is not a quality conference win yet. BG and Kent are bottom of the East. OHIO has struggled against the pass and Kent is terrible in the pass game. Eastern is still looking for the first win in conference play and Central stands behind three other teams in their division and came into Athens and stole homecoming.
Receivers have the dropsies and against good teams, every play matters. The receivers now have had several games where on target passes were botched and they weren't like they were passes over the middle where a big hit might give a guy the shivers.
The Miami game should be similar to Kent. Stop Miami's running game and it should be an easy win with Miami's current QB situation. I would imagine Kent's defense is better than Miami's.
Play Toledo down to the wire and beat Akron and then it is time to be fully on the solid team bandwagon.

I've been on the bandwagon since the EMU win in OT. After what we did to Toledo last year and NIU the year before that there is no reason to think we can't walk into Detroit confident about a win.
