As far as I know he only had one other Div 1 offer and that was from Akron.
We got really lucky here. Recruiting and developing top QB's has been a huge problem at Ohio.
Good thing we got a guy that is ready to play and wants to get better and will take it on himself to improve. He has stated that he wants to play in the NFL. I had a CFL scout tell me that he will be a first round pick in the CFL Draft if he continues to develop. Canadian born QB's are rare in the CFL.
If you ever notice he hangs out with the Offensive linemen when the defense is on the field. Kind of an old school kind of guy.
Rourke is making the difference and he is what has been lacking most seasons for Ohio.
Finally it is wonderful that we have him for two more seasons.w
