I was very happy with the gameday experience on Saturday. I hit the Arts and Sciences tent at Tailgreat Park and wandered around a bit. The new scoreboard was great in my opinion (I know there's some disagreement here about that), and I liked the music that was played (I know that one is even more controversial).

Other than the loss, my only big complaint had to do with the beer sales. I should've known, but I didn't realize it was cash only. I thought to myself ok, I'll just go to an ATM. But apparently there are ZERO ATM's in Peden Stadium. How can that be? So after being so pumped to drink a Mystic Mama at Peden, I had to settle for a Diet Coke and a hotdog.

After years of Citizen's Bank first downs, they don't have ATM's in the building as part of the sponsorship? Opportunity missed both ways there.

Had same issue with only having a card in Week 2. I'm not surprised the tents are cash only, but I was surprised there aren't any ATM's in Peden Stadium.

In the past, a lot of ATM's were like you see in a gas station or uptown bar and would be something owned by the establishment itself. Anymore, a lot of ATMs are maintained by a local/regional bank in high traffic areas like you see in professional sports stadiums. It seems like it would have been a natural extension for Citizens Bank to capitalize on their First Down marketing with a "visit our ATM in Peden located in the concourse at the 10 yard-line) Heck, Ohio University Credit Union already has a couple ATMs scattered around campus (there are TWO in Baker Center alone)

Maybe this is something that'll be around the base of the Academic Center? Fans view it as an "amenity" and the bank would probably pay all the purchase/operating costs. OU might even get a placement fee of be able to negotiate some sort of advertising deal with the bank.

I was thinking the same thing about Citizen's Bank but I also noticed they don't do the Citizen's Bank first down thing anymore either. So maybe they had some Citizen's Bank ATMs but no longer have that sponsorship? Not sure.

I had the same issue, but luckily I could at least get domestic beer at the concessions with my card. Next time I will have craft cash.

The no ATM thing has been an embarrassing issue for some time. I've included this complaint in surveys before. How is it that the Convo has one but not Peden? Banks love fees; why wouldn't one want to rack up some free money by fleecing the populace on their cash withdrawals? Put a freaking atm at the stadium.

Was gonna say, that's the difference between generations.

I never go anywhere without $200 in my wallet.

Was in a Dunkin Donuts last week, their credit card machine and ATM were both down.

Couldn't believe the steady stream of customers that had no cash and were SOL.

I carry a sufficient amount of cash at all times, but prefer a card for just about all transactions. I hate change, and would prefer not to have $1 bill that was in the hands of the guy that didn't wash his hands after hitting the restroom 10 minutes earlier. I'm surprised there aren't any ATMs inside Peden. I guess I never needed one.

It's 2017. I expect not to have to use cash anywhere except a good dive bar. The best dive bars don't accept cash.

But really, I don't mind using cash if that's necessary. But it's dumb for OU not to have ATMs in the stadium. They missed out on like $15 of revenue from me.

I was turned around at the parking lot with no cash so hit an ATM at the CVS on East State St. Sook Center is planned to have a central ticket office built in and may be an opportunity to add an ATM that could be used on non game days by students traversing campus.

I carry cash for tips, settling up golf bets, letting my teenagers slowly destroy me financially, and buying poker chips in a casino. Everything else is a debit/credit card.

When is the last time you needed to tip a bell hop at Peden?

Is Bobcat Cash still a thing?

I tried it I think one quarter when I was at school and it seemed like if you just had greenbacks in your wallet you could do anything that it could do. You could use it though at both Peden and the Convo concessions I do remember. This was the early 2000's so a lot of people were taking credit card but it was nowhere near as common as it is now.

My guess is it was created/used mainly for parents who wanted to make sure their student had money to buy things but not be able to use it for adult sodas.

I mean, if I know I'm going to be in a situation to need it I'll get some. I didn't think an ATM-less Peden was a thing.

I may agree that Peden should have an ATM. I've seen them at most arenas.

But, always carry cash gentleman. Always.

Maybe security is part of the issue. Since Peden in not populated on most days an ATM would be inviting to thieves. Maybe to a lesser degree with the Covo too.

I always carry cash but I tend to spend it all supporting local business Uptown (while making sure to tip the bell hop and valet at each) which is when the ATM comes into play.

I didn't know the Convo had one. Is it a particular bank?

i would expect no less from a man who has traveled and seen so much more of the world than those he grew up with.
