Use this thread to talk about anything travel-related (Bobcat Bash, ticket info, hotels, places to eat/drink).

Bobcat Bash

Join your fellow OHIO alumni and friends as we Stand Up and Cheer when the Bobcats travel play the Bowling Green Falcons in an important MAC matchup on October 14. Prior to the game, the OHIO Alumni Association will be hosting a Bobcat Bash, beginning at 1:00 p.m. (2 1/2 hours prior to kickoff). Registration to the Bobcat Bash includes an all-you-can-eat buffet and two drink tickets redeemable for alcoholic beverages. The cost is $20 for attendees ages 13 and older, $10 for children ages 5-12, and free for children ages 4 and under.

More information will be added to this page in the coming weeks, including menu and a map/directions to the tailgate area.

Bash Location

Please use the map below to locate our Bobcat Bash. Our space is highlighted in yellow and has a green arrow pointing to its location. Guests are encouraged to park in the spaces indicated at the bottom of the map and then walk a very short distance to the event.

Wifey is a BG alum who is now employed at OU. I had this game circled on my calendar early on but she has a 5k in the morning and I have an adopt-a-highway litter pick up that morning as well. Looks like couch + ROKU + ESPN and maybe some pumpkin flavored refreshments.

Is there a seating section for Ohio fans? Should I buy tickets through BGSU or through our athletic department?

I think you can only buy tickets through BG at this point. Visiting team will be in 10L below. Ticket info here: http://www.bgsufalcons.com/sports/2009/6/18/Football_0618093625.aspx#Single Game Information

What is "recent graduate" seating?

Did they essentially create a section for people in their 20s? Interesting.

But it's not an actual section, right? It's just a pricing package. It seems like BG actually puts them all in the same area.

I don't know they they put them together. Basically, they took their worst 6 sections and said this is where you can get that pricing. Ohio offers it for any reserved seating area (Peden sections 110-112 are similar to BG's worst sections). I can't find it but I thought a few years ago Ohio had Sections 122 and 123 for Young Alumni.

There probably aren't enough years for an accurate study, but I wonder how well it's working as far as keeping recent alums engaged and turning them into long term STH.
