Taking a view of the schedules down the stretch the MAC East runs through the Ohio vs. Akron. Even if Akron was to lose to both Buffalo and Miami they could still win the MAC East by virtue of defeating Ohio if Toledo can defeat Ohio the week prior. There is no way for Ohio to lock up the division prior to the Akron game. OTOH if both walk into the Ohio-Akron game with one loss, the winner is the east champion regardless of how the final game turns out.
