Spent the weekend in Athens. Had a good time, but was very surprised by the Buckeye gear prevalent on Saturday. Totally understand they were on TV at that time, but still surprised a dad would send his kid to OU and then show up on campus decked out in OSU gear. Just to be clear, I'm not an OSU hater. I'm mostly indifferent to them. Just shocked at the swarm of scarlet and gray I saw on campus. Much more than I recall when I was a student.

Same here...the thing that surprised me more was all the students wearing OSU gear. I might have embarrassed my Bobcats a bit when I suggested to some of the scarlet and gray wearers that they turned the wrong way on 33! But hey, what kind of Dad would I be if I didn't embarrass them once in a while?

Don't be too surprised, because the Buckeye sheep are everywhere. Though I will say there's more and more green & white being seen here in Columbus. While I didn't spend much time rubbing it in, I definitely got a nice chuckle out of Saturday night's result.

You think you embarrassed your child?

Spending time up and down Court St. with my daughter and her boyfriend Saturday evening I asked multiple strangers with O$U gear on who was winning their game with Iowa, knowing full well that the Buckeyes were being embarrassed in Iowa City.

I kinda tell my boys the same thing.

“I bought my Ohio gear at my alma mater.”

“You bought your OSU gear at Walmart.”
