Is noticeably missing among some of the players. Bahl carrying on an extended argument with him in the first half and McMullen very obviously ignoring him during a well-deserved chewing out after a ridiculously undisciplined double unsportsmanlike. Could anyone on this board EVER imagine one of our guys doing that with Frank?

No kidding. I would've been holding McMullen by his facemask.

McMullen penalty felt like it ended the game for Miami.

Looks like it might be mutual. Fiami closes the game with 3 runs. Wow. Not even trying to go through the motions.

I was wondering why he didn't chew Bahl out, but clearly chewed the player out that was ejected....Hmmm, that looked suspect. Come on Coach, demand some respect from ALL of your players...you're the Coach

Interesting thread on the Miami site which touches on this very subject: http://test.miamihawktalk.com/talk/discussion/2907/stark-...

I think the Bahl thing says a lot more about Bahl than it does Martin.

Yeah, maybe so, then it was more on McMullen than Martin..... Martin looked like a child being scolded by Bahl. I don't condone disrespect either way, whether its to the referee or the Head Coach. However, that Head Coach has a lot to do with who is paying for your education.

I'm not a fan of man of Martin's style. Seemed to me he spent too much time yelling at Bahl and the kid who got kicked out, and etc... Say what you need to say and move on. You keep going on and on and folks are gonna start talking back or tuning you out. And we saw both. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami loses out the rest of the way. Unless... this is just always how it is with them. Arguing back and forth is just how it is...

Anyway, watching the game and reading that link to their message board made me appreciate where the OHIO program is right now. That's for sure.

He had the huge offside penalty earlier in the game too. My wife said "You would think he'd be a little more upset after making such a big mistake." Instead he looked like he couldn't care less. And that's the guy they kept describing as their team leader.

Yeah, that was an enjoyable momentum boost. Tough to see a coach with so little control/respect of his players.

I don't see that happening on our sideline, they'd be in the locker room next week too.

Yes, it's clear that our players respect Frank.

Martin's fall from Grace has been quick. Last year with their six-game winning streak, a lot of folks were projecting which P5 gig he would take, now the speculation is if and when he might be fired.

Martin has one year left on his contract after this one. They would have to pay him $450K to make him walk. Judging from the John Cooper basketball fiasco, I think they let him coach it out. Which, of course, is bad for the program.
