I was walking into Peden behind a group of 4 students, and one said to the group, can we sit on the pressbox side, they do more to engage the fans than the student side? ... anyone have any thoughts on this? I've seen the student side lacking, but are there thoughts about how to make things better?

Also, not being critical of the students. That section is filling in nicely tonight. Just an observation.

On TV the student side looked fuller than the home side. Then the band played.

Criticizing the students when you were watching on tv? They at least were there for a half. Thought you lived in Athens?

Students surprised me tonight. Very nice turnout over there. The Tower side had plenty of good seats available.

Kids these days have no idea what the real world is like.

On the student side, you have the freedom to stand the entire game.
On the pressbox side, you are harassed for trying to get a 3rd down stop.

Regarding the student side... We have an upgraded sound system... Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State... They all have songs... I love the 110 but we need something to get the students going while the 110 catches a breather. Our student body is PRIME for an engaging song. That's what Ohio football needs.

I'll be honest. As I was watching and the clock ticked past 11:00 on a Tuesday I was having a hard time staying awake in my own living room. If I was at the game I don't know if I could've stuck it out through the whole game. These Tuesday night games are great for those of us watching on TV but suck for people attending the game. Also, if this game had been scheduled for Saturday I probably would've went.

I was pleasantly surprised with the student turnout. The 8pm start is a killer, by the time I hit GoodFellas it was after midnight. In my advanced age I rarely see that time. Kudos to students for turning out.

I realize the weeknight games are for TV revenue but they are tough on fans at the game. Games take way too long and the stadium is about 35% full.

Wasn't criticizing anyone - just stating a fact. And just because I live in Athens doesn't mean I have to attend every game. I had other family responsibilities last night. I won't be at the first real basketball game because of a memorial service.

Was pleasantly surprised at the student turnout. Looked good on TV. Appreciated them sticking it out for a couple of hours. Don't blame them for not making all 4 hours. And Ohio put on a good show for them while they were there.

I thought the turnout, considering it was a cold Tuesday evening, was pretty good. Peden looked better than other mid-week games ESPN has televised.

Good view of attendance on the student side.

Man that video shows just how staggering that halftime exodus is.

I heard there might have a party somewhere in town last night.
