As if this "tradition" doesn't make you cringe enough, now there are two pushup monitors walking along the goal line to make sure they're done correctly. This is one of the least original ideas that has become part of the game.

We did push-ups at away games as well, although it was along the sideline - not across the endzone.

We did go across the endzone during bowl games.

It originally started as pushups synced as the bell tolled at Peden after a score. Once for each point on the scoreboard. I don't think there's a bell at Peden anymore? Certainly it wasn't taken on the road then.
