Actually he is tied with OUs LONG Driver as they are both accurate on their picks as of the BG game. I also would give the edge to OUs LONG Driver as he has us only losing to Toledo the rest of the way and going to the MACC.

I've got the record right but flip flopped the directional Michigan outcomes. I still like my rest of the way though.

After seven games, the score is:

Perfect 7/7: Shabamon and LynxRufus6 (they go different ways on the Miami and Akron games

6/7: ou1982, LC, rsbobcat, dfc, gocats105

5/7: lucky sparrow, oubobcat9092, brian smith, OUslongdriver, maddog13, realMikeDrake, Optimist, Robert Fox, Ohio69, excat21, wishIwasatLuckys, C. Money, oucat82

4/7: FollowtheMoney, zaleski, andrew ruck, bobcat110Alum, ohio9704, OCF, tyler, allen

3/7: alan swank, El Gato Roberto, chris galloway, uncle wes, buckeye to bobcat

2/7: bshot44

Note: every single person picked Ohio over Kent, so nothing will change this week. The Miami, Toledo and Akron games will shuffle things up, however.

After ten games, no one is perfect anymore, and if Ohio beats Akron, it's going to be very crowded at the top:
9/10: Shabamon (needs a loss to Akron to stay alone on top)

8/10: LynxRufus6, LC, rsbobcat, dfc, gocats105, maddog13, excat21, wishIwasatLuckys, Robert Fox

7/10: ou1982, lucky sparrow, oubobcat9092, brian smith, OUslongdriver, realMikeDrake, Optimist, OCF, allen, bobcat110Alum

6/10: Ohio69, C. Money, oucat82, andrew ruck, ohio9704, tyler, El Gato Roberto

5/10: FollowtheMoney, zaleski, alan swank,

4/10: chris galloway, uncle wes, buckeye to bobcat, bshot44

For the record, I hope I drop a notch next week. I predicted Akron as a loss, but I also predicted Purdue and CMU as wins.

I don't think LC's mysterious friend is giving our lines on either side of the ball enough credit.

When you look at total snaps played we've essentially got a full set of starters returning on both sides of the ball. Defensively, we lost the explosiveness of guys (such as Basham) but the starters we do have are proven as reliable contributers.

I feel even better about our offensive line. We've got a couple guys who already have multiple years of starting experience.

Injuries on either side would hurt, but every team in the nation can say the same. Injuries in past years are the reason we have so many starters this year with quality experience despite losing guys to graduation. Of any of our recruits, I'm confident our young lineman can contribute when called upon.
I think I actually underestimated just how good this offensive line was going to become. Dorian Brown had a beautiful TD run against Toledo where he was literally untouched the whole way. Our ooline COMPLETELY manhandled their guys and opened a gaping hole for him to scoot through.

What a special group.

How we stand:
Lose to Akron - shabamon wraps it up, as he would have a two game lead
Win over Akron, Lose to Buffalo - DFC takes the lead, going into the MACC game
Beat Akron and Buffalo - 9 way tie going into MACC game

Loved that play.

However, my favorite from that game, possibly of the season, was on another Brown TD run. A much shorter run where an offensive lineman, Hayes I believe, hugged Brown in a scrum and dragged him across the goal line. An illegal play several years ago but one that exemplifies the grit of this group.

Yes, I loved that play. It was # 73. It's like he was saying, I got you....GREAT GAME....I've watched it twice already, and didn't see the hype. Our Offense and Defense completely man handled them. I'm sure they won't lie down so easy on December 2nd....

I was personally wondering about that myself. Is that now legal?

Still illegal. You can push but not pull.

(Said in Jon Lovitz's voice): I meant "pushed", not "dragged". Yeah, that's the ticket.

Is that the old "aiding the runner" penalty?

This reminds me of the famous (or infamous, depending on your perspective) "Bush Push" where USC, defending national champs and riding a long winning streak, beat ND on a last-second TD. USC QB Matt Leinart was stopped on a QB sneak before Reggie Bush pushed him across the goal line for the win. I believe this was not legal when it happened in 2005.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62P8_Ik7NlE

I also believe this was the season Bush was later deemed ineligible and USC had to forfeit all of its games.
