Do we have a secondary coach? This secondary play (lack of) is getting embarrassing. They seem to be completely lost.

Yeah I agree. It's like they don't know what their own coverages are

I know I am supposed to hate OSUcks but at least when an assistant coach sucks, Urban fires them. For us, assistants are allowed to hang around for as long as they like. There is loyalty and then there is stupidity.

Still trying to figure out what the hell happened on the corner blitz that turned into a 70-yard TD any one of us could have scored. Surely they didn't think Poling was going to hang with Smith.

Have said after several games this year (and last) - our DBs do not play the ball well, they often do not see the ball coming, receivers get wide
open too easily. When a receiver looks for the ball- the DB should look for the ball - wonder if they have ever heard that. Have questioned at times if our secondary practiced against the opponent's pass offense. Need a secondary coach!!!

The starting secondary is made up of prime athletes, but just very average football players. They can run very fast and jump very high. But they are lacking tackling technique and coverage skills. I think I would say that coaching comes into it, but as a player, you have to be able to understand and interpret coverages properly. Let's hope the Golden Flashes get lucky next Tuesday. Go Bobcats.

It is this scheme fellas. We constantly have corners playing 1V1 and they are not that good. As for the corner blitz, absolutely, who was supposed to pick thatt guy up? A linebacker on a track star with no safety help? The scheme is just bad. Then we get to having walk ons being starters! I hope to see changes next year. Of course next year the D backs will be better but the d-line and linebackers will be worse. I have said it before, I say it again, this staff cannot recruit enough good players and get them on the field at the same time to win a MACC!

The staff is running out of excuses on recruiting. First it was lack of TV exposure then started getting on TV all the time. Then it was not having an Indoor Practice Facility. Started sending alumni to the NFL in significant amounts. MAC schools loading up on 3* stars at record pace. WMU has 16 with 3 stars for 2018 and Toledo has 13. Ohio has 4 recruits with 3 stars, tied near the bottom of the MAC. There is no reason why we can't pull in double digit 3 star recruits at this stage of the program. Except for one; the staff can't get it done.

We need 4 good corners and 3 good wide receivers and a good tight end to win. We have the running backs and the QB. We have two projects coming in at wideout, the corners look decent. The tight end looks good, but will need to redshirt to gain weight. The coaches need to be relentless in the living room instead of taking easy wins

Again, you infer the coaches are not working at recruiting. What proof can you offer that they are simply going after easy wins? And funny, you mention no start for ever positions, yet you say we are fine at QB. Nothing here that says to me we’ve found the answer at QB, unless we are going back to the triple option. Here’s to vast improvement

Give Rourke some wide receivers and he will be fine. We have three guys coming in next year that never made all-conference, yet alone all district or state. Easy wins

C,mon. High School accolades like that are virtually meaningless to a college coach.

Yeah ok. It is logical to think that someone who could not perform at the high school level can be All-MAC. While I am stunned by these comments, I realize that Love is blind. This might qualify as that Waco love.

Do you honestly believe that All-Whatever awards, at the High School level, are doled out ONLY to the top performers? No mistakes are made? No politics involved?

Wow.

Wow.
I won’t argue with lackey’s. We need some players and that’s it. We had no verbals and then three high school players hit the lottery.
