I'm not writing off the bowl game, but I got to thinking about next year's schedule.

The OOC games are:
Howard(7-4; Cam Newton's little brother is their QB)
@UVA (6-6 with a bowl game left)
@Cincy (4-8)
UMass (4-7 with a game left)

The home MAC games are:
Akron, BG, Buffalo and one West team

The road MAC games are:
Kent, Fiami and two West teams

The West schedule might not automatically flip to the three we didn't play this year because Toledo and BG play each year. That screws up the rotation. So, we might play either CMU or EMU plus two of BSU, NIU and WMU. My guess is we would play CMU again, since we have two road games vs the West next year and we played CMU at home this year. We've also played BSU just once in the last five years, so they would likely to be on our schedule.

Another thing to consider with the 2018 schedule is that currently Ohio has an open date the second week of the season. I wonder if the MAC would schedule a league game that early in the season as the month of November and the last few days of October start the Tuesday-Thursday games. According to future schedules Akron had an open date the second week of the season. Not sure if they have filled that date?

MAC has to keep a certain amount of games for late Oct/Nov for that absurd weeknight TV deal .... something to keep in mind.
