It must be the delicious cup of coffee I'm drinking (or the upcoming 4 day weekend that's staring me in the face) but I'm more excited about this upcoming recruiting class signing early today than I am about the Bahamas Bowl. I'm not much of a recruiting aficionado but this class seems like it could be special-QB Mischler has me especially intrigued.

I'm willing to argue that Mischler is the best QB prospect this staff has recruited. He's described as dual threat, but looks like more of a passer than a runner. I'm not sure how that will work with our offense, but I love the ball he throws.

I think my favorite recruit right now is RB Allison. He's not super heralded, but he's got good size at 5'10", 195 lbs., and he's got offers from Army and Navy. Those are two schools who can usually identify pretty good under-the-radar running backs. Plus there's something about his running style I just like--reminds me of my all-time favorite (non-Bobcat) running back, Ricky Watters.

CB John Gregory is the only commit who hasn't signed already. Assuming he does sign, we'll have maybe 2 or 3 open scholarships for February.
