That time of year.

I respect both,but

GO ARMY

Although I do think Navy will have a bit of a chip on their shoulders after last year.

Watching the march-on on CBS Sports Network. They shared a story about the 1942 game. Roosevelt decided the game would be played. Due to rations, the game would be played in Annapolis but you could only attend if you lived within 10 miles of the stadium. So the Naval Academy split the Midshipmen so that half would root for Navy and half would root for Army. Good stuff.

I love watching this game. So did my late wife Lynne. It likely sounds goofy to read that I pull for both teams. Reason: I went Army. But my two older brothers went Navy. My dad went Marines. My father-in-law went Army Air Corps. I just hope for an exciting game.

THE rivalry game of rivalry games! The March On, best tradition in college football.

Side note: Army’s uniforms are camouflaged quite nicely against the snow.

If you’ve never been, it’s a must attend. Last year was my 12th, I’ve seen games in Philly, Baltimore and Ny/NJ. Even shared a Johnny Walker with Roger in 2006.

Got the exciting game I was hoping for. A Navy FG attempt j-u-s-t missed as time expired and Army prevailed 14-13.

I also root for Navy, of course, but I wasn't too upset that Army got their second win in a row after a 14-year Navy win streak. Next year will be a good time to start another long Navy win streak. Go Navy!

Edit: Let me add that I also get chills down my spin when I hear the midshipman sing "Navy Blue and Gold" at the end of the game, since it was the first college song I ever heard back before most on this board were ever born. I like it just a little better when they get to sign it second!! ;-)

Great game to watch on a number of levels. So good, in fact, that I will refrain from any oil tender references for my old pal the OCF squid.
Army!

Thank you, Sir! It was a good game. I likewise will refrain from any references to grunts in the rice paddies of Vietnam. Go NAVY!

The combined Army/Navy Glee Clubs singing the National Anthem to start the game was awesome as well.
