Congrats to Mr. Wood on being granted another year of eligibility. The O line just got a little deeper.

Wow. This is huge... Our offensive line will, again, be very good.

Any debate this is the best offensive line in the MAC?

Yes.

I would think WMU fans or UT fans or NIU fans might debate who has the best O line in the MAC.

Don't forget that the OL Coach that built this offensive line, with both good players at the top, and depth, and better technique so that they have less injuries than in the past, has moved on.

Wood is an effective RG when healthy. Last years starting RG Meservy could move to center. Brett Kittrell played some RG last year and looked good. I would love to have Wood for the entire year but his physical history doesn’t bode well.

I agree with L.C. that hiring a good OLine coach will be critical.

Wood, Meservy, Kittrell, Lowery, Pleasants, Anderson -- that gives us six guys back with a TON of experience. Who moves to center? that's the key.

The backup centers the last two years are both back, Notestine and Hayes. Neither played much, but both have time in the system.

I thought Hayes got some decent run, no?

I had assumed it would be Meservy moving to center (solely based on him showing their on the BA depth chart)

Not many true freshman lineman have seen time like him under Frank.

I wonder if Kuhar will move back to DL or even TE. I feel like there was some debate on here whether he would make a better DE or TE when he was recruited.

We could use him at TE. I think he played some RT last year.

It's interesting we didn't have any TE's in our class this year (unless someone is penciled in there but is listed elsewhere) We do have a 3* in next year's class already.

Kuhar was listed as a TE/DE coming out I believe at 245. He is now listed at 299. You would think he would drop weight if he did go back to TE. I also wonder if we might look for a grad transfer (not sure if it's too late/we have room available) but with 2 guys graduating at TE it looks like a good opportunity for a guy to come in and succeed immediately. Heitzman at TE was one of the most successful grad transfers we had on the field.

I'm feeling pretty great about this offense. Rourke/OUllette/Irons/Papi White are going to run wild with this line. It'll be nice getting Elijah Ball back... Hopefully we can avoid too many serious injuries this season.

I heard one of the Luerhman brothers is likely to win a first team slot at TE.

Luerhmans can catch.

Kuhar can block.

Senior Connor Brown can do both...not sure OUr true Freshman TE is ready for the trenches...but he might be the best receiver of the bunch.
