Does anyone know the whereabouts of LaVon Brazzil these days? After he was kicked off the Colts team for substance abuse he played briefly in Canada, I believe, and then he has fallen completely off the radar, it seems. I assume he's no longer in pro football at any level, but I do wonder what he is doing with his life now. I certainly hope that he has gotten things straightened out and is now a productive member of society. He was always one of my favorite Bobcats both on the field and off, during his time in Athens. He was so kind and gentle with young fans who would seek to talk with him and get his autograph after games. He was a real gentleman. Any information that anyone has on him would be appreciated.

I know he was shot a few years back and survived.

I liked how he was always trying to make plays.

Will always remember his great performance in the 2012 Potato Bowl-made some incredible plays.

Hard to believe that was over 5 years ago!

Could this be our LaVon? http://www.palmbeachcountymugshots.com/sample.php?id=20018

I hope not.

On a brighter note, this may be highlight of his pro football career: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17SPLXcdTfs

Wow, all this information is a real downer. Things really seem to have gone in a negative spiral since he left the "kindly care" of his alma mater. I really hope that he can get his life straighten around. It would seem he needs some counseling and treatment for substance abuse. Really, really sad to learn of his continuing struggles. I would never have predicted any of this based on his years at OHIO.

Marijuana really? Pretty sure the former athletes that are all hooked on painkillers and percocets right now would love a few tokes instead. Lavon is doing fine working and coaching the youth.

I was told by someone that was involved in the draft that his marijuana use probably pushed him back from a 4th round to the 6th round.
By today's standard I am not sure how you process this information. I was in Canada over the weekend and was told that marijuana will be legal in Ontario later this summer.
