Former Bobcat OL Desmond Noel appears to have a chance to return to Ohio after being suspended following a December 2016 incident. Noel played at Fort Scott CC in 2017.

Glad to hear he has turned it around. That was such a weird incident.

Nothing weird about it just criminal activites.

Idunno. Using a broom handle to commit armed robbery is kinda weird to me.

Was that the same incident in which Kyle Belack was involved?

Yes. Belack, Ready and Noel.

I believe they were given the moniker of “Belack’s broomstick bandits” which has a nice ring to it.
Still an embarrassment to the team and university. But I’m a believer in second chances. So I hope Mr. Noel has learned from this and is ready to help his teammates win some football games.

This is intriguing to me. He must be pretty good if they are willing to re-offer him. Anybody know if he's going to be on scholly or walk-on?

I remember watching his high school video and thinking he looked really nimble and athletic for a 300 pounder. If he's cleaned up his act, I think he would contribute very soon.

We have 3 very good OL verbals already this year.

He would be an excellent addition to that group and as you say someone who could contribute early.

Keep in mind that this is a different OL coach, so now you have a second opinion that Noel is someone who can contribute. Just because Ohio offered him again, though, that doesn't mean he will accept. Not so long ago Ohio lost a line recruit, Tate Leavitt, who, after a year in JUCO, was rated 4 stars. He ended with an Alabama offer, but chose Kentucky, though I guess that didn't work out for him, as he never played for Kentucky, and spent his Senior season at Indiana State.

Didn’t he tweet that he was coming back to OHIO? So, at this juncture I would assume that that was his plan. If I recall there was some indication that he felt he had learned a powerful life lesson in his one-year banishment.
