I'd be tempted to put Sebastian Smith on the receiving corps, and you'd need to have Chris Garrett in the return game. Did you know that he had a return for a touchdown for all four years at OHIO?

Michael Braunstein, who only played for a year at OHIO, is also an interesting case in the kicking game. He seemed to be able to boot the ball when he was here.

Also, Beau is your 2nd running back. Does AJ eclipse him this year? He only needs about 400 yards to have more career yards and has just been a workhorse in his time here.

I note that you have four linebackers, of which three played MLB. At OLB, I would go with Jovon Johnson and Blair Brown. Then you have to pick between Poling, Keller, or Muncy for MLB. I'll go with Q. At NG, it's a close call, but I'll go with Crutcher.

Edit - I definitely like Papi at WR, and Hershey at punter, as shabamon suggests

Many of those selections make sense from the original post. I'd add Jameson Hartke in consideration at DE. Papi would slide into three at wr and would solidify it with a solid year. Zervos has been excellent and is a pro prospect if he can add 5 accurate yards to FG and some kickoff distance tho the kickoff distance isn't make or break. I would add Joe Lowery at tackle and I don't think Big Joe Anderson is out of the guard race. Skyler Allen probably in the Oline race. The current punter is exceptional. I'd add Flading to any Oline conversation.

Boo for quarterback. Hershey for punter/troll.

I'll take Muncy at MLB over Keller and Poling, and Jovon Johnson and Keith Moore outside.

LB: Noah Keller
DB: Dion Byrum
DB: TJ Carrie
DB: TJ Wright

I vote for Muncy for the completely objective reason that he took a class from my wife and was a good student! [BTW, she noticed a definite improvement in football player IQ and academic orientation starting with Grobe, with further improvement under Solich. Don't ask her about PaPaL's recruits in the brain department.]

I had my boy Jameson Hartke because he had a stellar freshman year (All-American). But Tremaine Scott in the Independence Bowl was a force coming back from injury. Those bowl moments made me put him ahead of Hartke.

We ran him too much for a QB less than 200 lbs.

Thanks for posting that. I didn't know Hershey did that. And right after that was a snapshot of Ernie Hodge and Marcellus Williamson on the bench laughing. Almost teared-up here at the office. Thanks for posting the video!

He also had a fake punt against Marshall one year. After they had a late hit on him, he got his revenge with a successful fake. That pissed the Marshall fans off, since Ohio was well ahead, but they are the ones that did the late hit. I think he's the only punter I've ever seen that had a green light to take off, if he felt he could make it.

Thanks for posting these. These highlights are great. Is this the game Terrance McCrae caught the hail mary at the end of regulation?

I couldn't find the fake punt, which came towards the end of the game, after the outcome was no longer in doubt, but here's the roughing the punter earlier in the game that motivated Hershey to look for an opportunity to get even:

Yes, Ohio lost 24-23 when they went for two and the win. As I recall, a Marshall LB blatantly steps on the foot of Riley Dunlop to take him down as he was flashing wide open.
