Thought you guys and gals from out of town would appreciate a few photos of the progress being made on the Academic Center at Peden Stadium.  Looks like it's coming along nicely!

I like the "open air" concept, for cross ventilation, but it might be a bit "breezy" at times. :-)

Is there an expected completion date? (Sorry if this is commonly known and listed elsewhere)

I would love to see the scoreboard on the Sook Center. it would be closer to most of us and no one could stand in front of it.

Anybody know if the brick ends are stairwells?

Looks like there is an elevator in the center.

I would love to see the scoreboard just moved to the top of hte hill. It being behind the hill makes it seem too damn far from the field. It would be a higher impact enhancement if it were closer.

Thanks for the pics OCF. Is there going to be a scoreboard of some kind on the Sook? The old one? Would Pepsi spring for one?

Based on the artist's renderings of the back of the building, which show an all glass wall,it doesn't look like. it.

I agree wholeheartedly. Sadly, I think we're stuck with it where it is.

First thing I thought of on a breezy day is I wonder what type of crosswind affect that might have on kicking FGs on that end of the field, if any.

Glad to see that the plans included arrow slits so our archers can defend Peden from invading hordes from Oxford, Akron etc.

When will the academic folks start picketing outside hoping for control?

The arrow slits will also come in handy for this.

Maybe hot oil too ?

They have already been trying to get control with Faculty Senate.

The way we defended the pass this year, they should try by air.

I did find it somewhat ironic that I got a mailer this week to donate to the new weightroom.

I am a big Bobcat football supporter ... but I find it funny that they want my money to help the program .... but yet, they don't care about me as a fan. Talking out of both sides of their mouth.

We don't care about fans on a local level ... we have just three Saturday home games.

TV Money >>>> fans in the stands.

BUT ....

We desperately want your money to keep to program going in the right direction.

MACtion!

Are you blaming our athletic department for the terrible MAC schedule? My understanding is we did our part in getting two OOC home games. Be mad that we don't have better OOC opponents than Howard and UMass, sure, but the MAC schedule is out of our hands.
