UC is getting better recruits past couple years under Fickel

Have read various articles in The Enquirer stating that the Bearcats have had one of the top ranked G5 recruiting classes, and also ranked ahead of numerous P5 schools.

Fickel's no-nonsense, fundamentally sound approach (or what seems to be from a distance) will help UC be a solid to strong program that may have championship years but will not be the punching bag they became under TT.

I think Fickel will continue to do well pulling in the top Ohio talent not going to Columbus or other top-tier programs. But bringing in the kids who would otherwise go to maybe Iowa, Kentucky, Northwestern, Purdue etc. will help keep them in the upper tier of the American.

Pete: would love to see any old photos/articles from past UC-Ohio games from years past you could post on here! I believe that Ohio is third in UC program history after Miami and Louisville in terms of total games played as an opponent.

There is a higher ceiling for G5 recruiting than before so I don't think its a UC thing necessarily but they are a cream of the crop G5 program at this point.
