Ohio Football alumni Roman Parodie (Houston Gamblers), Armani Rodgers (Houston Gamblers), James Bostic (St. Louis Battlehawks) and Sam Wiglusz (Orlando Storm) take the field in televised
UFL season openers this weekend.

For as much as they openly said they wanted to bring in a ton of Ohio guys and wanted to bring in a ton of Ohio State fans... there is only ONE former player from OU, Ohio State, Toledo, or Cincinnati. There are only THREE guys from Ohio at all.

They got Ted Ginn as Coach and Cardale as some sort of ambassador, which he was quoted as saying, "Team ambassador, I have no clue what that means."

I wouldn’t really put that on the UFL/The Aviators, we all know Cardale has a strong stance against being educated.

As much as I like to joke about his famous, "I didn't come here to play no school" quote, in all fairness, I must report that he actually was a good student, and he is really embarassed by that statement these days. Now, if we were talking about Andrew Katzenmoyer that would be another story. He was so stupid he gave dumb football players a bad name.

I'm surprised by Wiglusz getting no targets, I don't know anything about his situation though so that obviously can play a huge part.

I didn't watch a ton of the game but I was flipping around and I don't think I saw him in the game at all. He did appear in the box score briefly, so he must've been on special teams (someone else was the returner).

If you put his talent in Bostic's body... buddy would be doing numbers.

Armani’s QB put him in a terrible position on one of those targets, looked like he was in a little pain jogging to the sideline afterwards.

Armani had 1 catch for 29 yards over the weekend. Bostic and St Louis don’t play until tonight, no stats for Wigz or Parodie. Kind of surprising Roman isn’t getting any time after his play in the NFL preseason last year.

Wiglusz had 2 catches for 16 yards, Rogers had 2 for 15, no stats for Bostic. Parodie has no stats on the UFL app but I watched that game. He didn’t play much until they were down but already, but he broke up a would be touchdown pass in the end zone in the 3rd quarter while I was watching.
