Can argue this is the most anticipated incoming Freshman class since Trent, Terry, Johnson and Kent in 1992-1993.

The HS credentials of this class are through the roof. Can't wait for the ball to bounce in the Convo for practice in October.

Totally agreed. James IV, Hadaway, Sheldon, Brown and Estis. Hope we can look back many years from now like we do with the 92-93 class.

Brush, playing at home, positively destroyed North tonight in its playoff game, 79-41. Brush actually led 52-18 ENTERING THE SECOND QUARTER!!!!! Elmore James IV led all scorers with a pedestrian 18 points. Don't know how long he played, though. Brush plays Boardman in a district semifinal at Euclid on March 2.

Brush absolutely obliterated Boardman in a Division 1 district semifinal last night, 66-37. However, Elmore "missed the game for personal reasons," coach Chet Mason said. Brush suits up again Saturday to face the winner of the Mentor and Mayfield game.

He posted something about the game to Instagram, I think it's probably not a huge deal. I'm sure he will play in the next round.

Illness? Covid-19? Those are the first things that come to mind. I'd consider those before jumping to any conclusions about disciplinary or eligibility issues. As far as I could tell no one has said anything about why he's missing, which I admit is a tad strange.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were jumping to conclusions, just that folks in general might be. The speculation by another poster that there may have been a serious family situation seems a possibility as well. The silence as to what's going on, as is usually the case, leads to idle speculation (like we are engaging in). Better to just tell the public what the situation is -- regardless of what it is.

Now the post: Have you ever seen a Mr. Basketball nominee miss the last two games of their high school career for personal reasons with no sense of why? It ranks right up there with Lundo this year. My only hope is that EJ4 is ready for OU and ready to contribute right away because we really need he and AJB to step in and make a difference. If we had even one of them this year we would be a different team. Heck, even with Lundo we would have been a different team. Just missing that aggressive wing defender who can hit a shot.
