Really impressed by every article I've seen about this kid. Has a humbleness to him that really stands out

Yes it is. Named after Charles F. Brush, who if he did not invent the arc light, perfected it and made it practical. Hence our nickname, the Arcs.
I used to enjoy beating them.

I talk to a friend who is the Brush point guard’s father and he said that Elmore is a great kid. I am very excited to see him don the green and white.

Elmore’s teammate just committed to Rutgers to play basketball. Antwone Woolfolk is his name and he actually was more highly regarded as a football recruit. No doubt, it bodes well for Brush this coming season…

Brush (my alma mater) is one of the few public high schools to go independent. I'm guessing Coach Chet Mason wanted to beef up schedule, 'cuz...

In Marlon Barnes he has the #79 junior in the country, according to Rivals.

A second junior, Tyler Williams, is a highly regarded mid major prospect.

He has a freshman whose name escapes me, who has yet to play a game but has already received an offer from Cleveland St.

Bruce, that does seem like a lot of surrounding talent for Elmore. @270unscripted will release an interview with Coach Boals next Monday, but they did release a couple of snippets early. The one that seems relevant here is the one in which Coach Boals talks about “knowing your roll.” He said that many of the recruits out there are the best players by far on their team so, they only know a more individual style of play. Stepping in as a freshman will quickly change that situation for all but the very best players. Paraphrasing there but, I do think it will be a plus for Elmore playing with other talented players to help him adapt to the college game.

EJ4 was just the MVP of the season-opening tournament Brush was in. There is a guy on Twitter from up that way that covers games and puts snippets of videos in. EJ had a ton of great plays but the best was that many were on the defensive end with steals and assists off of steals. He loves getting out into transition. I don't know how this guy won't play from the start next year. Physically he's already bigger than Rod, Lundo and Miles Brown. He and Mark can be an exciting pair for a few years together!

This kid is going to be a star right out of the gate. He is physically already a college kid and he has a great head on his shoulders. Combined with Brown who is still turning heads in FLA along with Sheldon who is a fearless scorer, and Hadaway who looks to be a stretch 3, this class is outstanding.

Agree with class assessment. James is built like a college player right now. Going to be fun to watch this class develop in future years.

Brush is now 4-0, James led them past a good Grenville squad, he scored 32. They also beat Notre Dame cathedral Latin in a blowout, he only had 12 in that game. I imagine he did not play slot, they were up 28-2 after the first quarter.
Senior Elmore James put on a show Wednesday night scoring 32 points to lead three Brush players in double figures as the Arcs won their home opener 78-67 in a seesaw battle against Glenville. With the win Brush improved to 4-0.

With the Arcs holding a 32-25 lead at the half, James came out in the third quarter and found his touch from deep. He scored 15 points in the quarter, with the first three baskets coming from behind the arc. James’ effort helped Brush ward off the Tarblooders and Tavareon Sanders who scored 17 in the frame to keep Glenville within striking distance at 63-54 heading into the fourth quarter.

An ACC coach couldn’t believe how good Elmore’s defense was. He was called a pit bull on defense and Chet said he was the best defender in the state at age 15.

If we have coaching movement for any reason can we bring Chet in? Sounds like a guy I'd play for! Even for a Miami guy!

Watching Elmore play at Flyin to the Hoop. His Brush team (current D1 #11) is taking on Gahanna Lincoln (#8).

1st Half 25-27 at half. Elmore with 12.
Final 44-48 Elmore with 21..leading scorer. Brush Pittsburgh commit got hurt and didn't play 2nd half and they lost big man to injury in 4rd quarter. Just couldn't pull it out. Marquette commit Sean Jones for Lincoln had 15.

Positives: Although his feet are aligned weird/crooked, he has a nice rotation/form on shot. Hit 3 and just missed other 3 and made 7/10 fts. Is an absolute beast going to hole. Made a few hilight reel layups. Has a college-ready body. Good attitude. Had a few turnovers when playing point and kept demeanor positive. Small thing...but he often took ball out. As a former coach, I never chose that person by accident. Doesn't force shot. Plays "calm". When they went man, he guarded Sean Jones..was able to do nice job containing and staying in front of a point guard when he is more of a sg. Real good athlete...could get even quicker which is crazy to imagine. A true 6'2 or 6'3; 210.

Suggestions (No Negatives for a 17/18 year old kid who I am glad will be a Bobcat). Playing calm is a positive...would like to see a bit more takeover attitude and at times needs to assert himself more. Has athleticism and game to do it. Sometimes on D, seems to watch rebounds and plays a bit off with hands down. A bit passive..and he is a stud athlete. Could do more damage on that end.
At end of game, he turned it up on D. Would like to see that all game. On O...can get to hole and hit layups, floaters. Also, seems a pretty good spot-up shooter. Needs to develop handle..got picked a few times. Also..a pullup game will benefit him.

I am excited to see him in college. He is legit. As he learns to turn up D at his athletic level and develops pull up game with improved handles, he will start(in my opinion) as an upperclassmen.

For Warrior or any other BA poster that has seen Brush play, who got the better college player? Ohio (James) or Rutgers (6-8 Woolfolk)?
