State tournament games in the Convo got underway last night. This is a little bittersweet for me as my high school (Malvern) is playing tonight in the D3 regional semifinal. This is their first Sweet 16 trip to Athens since 2000 when my brother's team went to the Elite 8; one game from playing Akron SVSM and freshman LeBron James at State I might add. Our school used to be D4 and have played their regionals in Canton since then, but they recently transitioned up so I'm hoping they can spark some Convo magic.

Recently announced Mr. Basketball finalist J'Allen Barrino is on the team and Malvern is the only unbeated left in the entire state across all divisions.
