Excited to have Ben join the Bobcats! Considering his affinity for Ohio, this looks like a recruit that is likely to come here regardless of whether Coach Boals (Listed in The Almanac as the top coach in the "jump seat".) is here or not. Assuming the next coach is agreeable to all parties involved, of course...

Quick note on what little I've seen of Nicol so far - He's definitely put on some muscle and shoots extremely well. Shaping to have a promising redshirt freshman year in 24-25.

A 6-8 lefty. We've had some good results with a player like that on the wing.

It would be nice if we had someone, anyone, covering this team that could share what Nicol has shown in practice. Anyone? . . . crickets

Perhaps BTC has some intel but it's likely he would only tease us with it.

From what I've seen in warmups and practices - he shoots extremely well and has defintely bulked up since I saw his high school film - solid on defensive drills - I think he's going to be one to watch in 2024-25. Super quiet/shy but nice guy - got to talk to him for a few minutes during warmups before Kent State game in Convo.
