According to this article, http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/blog/index.ssf/2011/05/larry_nance_jr_happy_to_contin.html , we offered and he considered but there was an issue with us losing a scholarship and some uncertainty.  He also turned down Geno at Bradley.  Apparently, Akron and Kent did not offer.  I wonder if we'll keep the scholarship until next year now?

I heard we may lose one thanks to all of our recent transfers, bassett, and a senior who decided to skip out of athens after the season.

I could be wrong, but I believe we will have this answer by Tuesday.

Looks like we have our answer. Poor APR score has cost us having Larry Nance Jr.

Assuming we would have gotten him with that scholarship. Do we know if that's the case?

I guess we can't assume that. And it would be presumptuous to think he would have picked us over Wyoming. But how many people from Ohio do you know that are banging down the door to move to Wyoming?

Only need one... didn't he pick Wyoming over Akron? He'd probably see the court sooner there than here, too.

bigtilly, can't answer yr question directly, but Wyoming has done a decent job of recruiting OH in recent yrs.  The previous regime brought in Desmar Jackson of Warrent Harding, who was recruited by some big time schools, as well as Daylen Harrison from Akron St. V/St. M.   Jackson led the cowboys in scoring last year.  Both have left the program with the coaching change, with Jackson settling at Southern Ill.
