Ohio is recruiting power forward Daquan Brown from  Barstow Community College (CA). The 6-9, 210-pounder has offers from Kennesaw St. and San Jose St. and interest from Pepperdine.

If he is a soph and went to Lincoln HS that means he was in the same HS class as Lance Stephenson and James Padgett (UMD).  Thats a pretty good HS class.

Seems like a guy that could help us out in the post.  Looks like he can finish pretty well down low, even through contact.  Also looks athletic enough to get out and run.

I noticed that too.  They were discussing being low on official visits, I would assume them going here and there could increase the chance of unofficial visits.

This kid looks good though, maybe he is that JUCO big we've been looking for.

I saw that West Virginia just picked up another commitment from a guard.  They now have 7 in the 2011 class.  That has to eliminate Daquan from the picture doesn't it?

How is there no new news on this kid? With our lack of depth inside, Brown could be the difference between a mediocre and a great season. I for one would be funneling all of our resources to get his name to paper.

The fact that Ohio is not mentioned in that particular article may not mean that much.  Guess we'll see in the days ahead.

We have to widen the net on big men.  There are very, very few listed as being recruited on this site.
