it's looking like OHIO vs "Kron" is the story in MAC BBall for several years down the road - I like the challenge - the coaches, markets, fan bases - this will be a fun MAC attention getting national story line - we (the MAC that is) need that.

Maybe someone should knock on the door of the basketball offices and let them know that we have available scholarships and actually filling more then one of them would be great.  Lots to sell this program and university on, lots of playing time potentially available after this year, and JC has one verbal so far.  Just getting a little nervous about this staffs recruiting efforts early on.  I hope it get better!

I hope the staff is reading this board!  I am sure they were unaware of our scholarship situation.  Well done!

First, sarcasm, don't be an arse.  Second, we are behind some others in this league in recruiting for next year.  Third, when hired, many questions were asked if he could get away from his JC/transfer philosophy and recruit four year players.  3/4 of his recruits fall under JC/transfer classification.  I guess you are one of those still waiting for "Big Foot" Anthony Allen to come to Athens.  I'm sorry pointing out that our early recruiting efforts are behind others has bothered you.  Please point out how that is incorrect.

Ummm, maybe we had one scholarship available for a 6-9 big man out of Cincinnati, and this guy chose Ohio first. I'm more worried about replacing Offutt than signing two guys to replace Keely.

Mike: This is not about one individual recruit, but about the whole process with this staff SO FAR.  i hope we have three great verbals soon.  However, I believe it is fair to question JC recruiting past and the questions with his ability to get 4 year recruits to Athens.  Again, it wasn't about this guy as much as our overall recruiting SO FAR.
