And on quite a large sample size, too. 65-162 puts him at over 5 attempts and 2 makes per game!

So why did we pick up this transfer ? Looks like high energy player and drives to the basket. Boals must of been been impressed when the kid played us in Athens.

He was offered by Ohio coming out of high school and originally hails from Pickerington, so I'm sure the staff has kept tabs on him for a while. As others have stated in the portal thread, he's a replacement for the Brown departure and IMO is an insurance policy if (A) Sheldon can't find his stroke from deep again or (B) one of the Freshman or Sophomores don't pan out as expected.

I think it might be fair to say he's taking Sheldon's spot, or that if Ohio is going to have a great season, AJ Sheldon won't play all that much.

Conners will join Pavs, Simmons, Hadaway and Elliott in the starting lineup and we can bring Ajay and Breath as experienced bench guys mixing in with the youngsters. I think Sheldon will have a bounce back year. He struggled shooting this year but come on, give the guy a break, he's a Bobcat through and through.

Spent a few hours in Boone, NC, last week. I can see how Athens is a more attractive place to live.
