Been watching some videos on this incoming class, dare I say and not wanting to jinx it, this is probably Boals' most talented class he's had coming in? Mosley and Kelly have college level bodies to play from day one, and Fisher has a ton of upside. I think their biggest issue is going to be getting enough playing time just because of the logjam on the wings at the moment. But, as E2 showed this year, and AJ Brown the years before him, if you're good enough Boals will find time for you.
JJ Kelly - have a feeling this is going to be our energy guy and fans are gonna love him. He's all over the court, plays both ways and is a high flyer. We're probably gonna see some of Shab's OMGDUNKS from him in the near future. I think he'll slide right in next to Hadaway in the energy department. I really, really like what he could bring to the table. I don't know much about his competition over there in PA, but he looked to be the big fish in the small pond, so a step up in competition could be something to watch.
Zay Mosley - The most inside-out of the three, someone compared him to VonCameron Davis at Kent State. My first thought was a more widely skilled, but less strongly built Terran Harbut. That kind of guy could become a key piece to a winning team; does all the little things right and scores/rebounds when you need it most. His biggest challenge I think we'll depend on where Boals sees he fits. Is he another "big" for this team? If so, he's a little undersized at the moment.
Jordan Fisher - Seems to have the highest upside if he can build his body around his game. Great length and shooting ability, and has played against top competition around the Columbus area. Definitely needs to hit the weight room, but his attributes are something this squad needs. I'm actually probably more interested in his Sophomore year to see how well he's gelled with the current team while also bringing in his current mates McKinney and Bowens.
