Javarez is a former 4 star recruit, has had great experiences as the starting guard against powerhouse programs like Kansas, Mizzou, Texas, Baylor, and K-State among others, and is a lock down defensive specialist. He'll have a year to learn the system like Smith and Offutt did, and will be ready to step in when D.J. moves on. This is a great get. Welcome aboard Javarez.

This is what I wuz thinkin.

Stevie got a year to cement himself in his spot. Looks like competition will strengthen the breed.

Was looking at Gillispie's incoming recruiting class at Texas Tech for next year.  He brought in two JUCO point guards.  Hope that coming to Ohio will give Javarez a chance to make a meaningful contribution, since it appears that Gillispie was in the process of recruiting over everybody

Time to revisit the discussion. Looks like the Big 12 experience didn't help a lot. But he has another year to learn the ropes.

Unfortunately he is what his stats said he was.  At the end of the day he's a good kid though and has his moments.  But his basketball worth is very limited. We need Stevie healthy in a big way.

OUVan, your orignal thoughts on Bean were pretty spot on.

Really admire that you were spot on with the initial cursory analysis, took some heat for it and now do not feel compelled to throw it back in anyone's face. You are a good man, Charlie Brown.
