Reviving this thread that was lost. According to today's Muncie Star Press, he lost his Ohio offer when Holtmann (I'm assuming) left.

Excerpt:
Osborne previously received his first offer from Ohio in March, but he said the assistant coach in charge of his recruiting at Ohio left the program. In turn, Osborne lost that scholarship offer and is now being recruited by Ohio all over again.

The recruiting has started back up for Nick Osborne, Coach Groce is on this kid,  Nick was in town for a visit a couple weeks ago.  He was seen uptown court street.  Be nice to land this kid.

Q&A: Nick Osborne Talks Recruiting and More

Mentions Ball State, Xavier, Miami (OH), and Stanford as his main four. Doesn't sound like Ohio is in the forefront of this one anymore.

Yeah .

He did not lose the offer when Holtmann left....just got no love from staff. Meanwhile at one point there were almost a dozen other schools in the gym according to a friend of mine in Marion......before we decided he was worthy and started coming back around.

Osborne to Loyola

According to the article, Ohio wasn't a major player at the end of his recruitment. It would be interesting to see his complete thought process, as he was getting Big Ten/11/12 offers, and Miami was still on his list. Maybe he wanted a chance to play in front of a lot smaller audience :)  Anyway, he should be dominant on that team - good luck to him.

EDIT: Former Ohio staffer on Loyola coaching staff FWIW.

This says something about the Horizon League.  Kids often don't mind playing in smaller gyms if the quality of play is excellent and the league has national respect.

Averaged 5.4 ppg and 4.0 rpg as a sophomore at Loyola, and has been granted his release to transfer from Loyola.

FYI...
