I'm not sure who are you "pissed off" at.  The kid gave his verbal commitment to Groce, so if he wants to change his mind now then it's not a shock.  And if you're Schaus you don't base you coaching choice around recruits potentially leaving.  It's up to Christian to either sell himself to Bradds, or else find his own recruits.

Agree, gotta make decision on the best future of this program, not a junior recruit/senior recruit/current players. This program and university has a ton to offer and hopefully everyone sees that in the long run.

+1.  This is common occurrence in coaching changes.  I hope Bradds still comes to Ohio, but if not, Coach Christian will find recruits, believe me.

You don't base coaching decisions on what recruits will do, they often change their minds and who knows maybe Christian will bring in someone better. Bradds wasn't widely recruited anyway

Why do I have to be pissed off AT someone?  I'm just really upset that it appears Mr Bradds is no longer going to be a Bobcat.

Andrew--I think that we should start a thread in which nominees are asserted for you to be angry at.  It will be good for you.  And even better for the honoree.

Belmont versus OHIO.  I have to question his judgment call on this one, assuming he had the choice.  I wonder if OHIO still had a high interest in Bradds or whether Christian was warm on the offer?

    My thoughts, as well.

While Bradds was having a very good junior season I was thinking he might reconsider his committment to Ohio and entertain offers from bigger schools, even before Groce left for Illinois. When he announced doing just that I was not surprised. Now, seeing him give a verbal to Belmont I have to re-evaluate the situation and wonder if Christian advised Bradds to look elsewhere.

He fits Byrd's system really well. Belmont recruits Indiana every year looking for kids that look and play like Evan. JOrdan Campell finished up down there a couple of years ago. Played HS at NOrth Central with Eric Gordon but was the same long rangy player that could knock down shots around the arc. Probably a good fit but interesting that X or similar did not go after him

Why would you think that?  Belmont has been to the NCAA tournament five of the last seven years and have won 55 games the last two seasons.  Not sure why anyone would think this is a big step down for him from us.

I was looking forward to Bradds, but definitely did not get my hopes up when he verbaled so early.  Belmont is a solid program even though I thought he might get a few looks from some bigger schools.  Hopefully Treg Setty can fill the SF void for us.

I agree but it's not a huge step down as some are implying.

We sure weren't better Saturday!

Just saw the kid play his last HS game.  He looked rattled as his shots weren't falling.  I'm sure he'll be pretty good at Belmont, but nothing to cry about losing over...

Saw another kid who I would be interested in Kyle Ahrens - gonna post about him here in a second.

Averaged 8.8 and 4 for Belmont this year as a freshman.  Shot 65% from the field.

Saw them play a few times this year.  He would have been a very good get for us.

Bracket buster is dead but I think that BOOM!!! might be correct that the return game from the 2012 -13 bracket buster at belmont is this year

How does that work? Belmont come to the Convo without me being there? Did I stay at the Cat;s EYe and miss it ?

No, the opposite: we played Belmont at Belmont on Feb.23, 2013 and are owed a return game. When I said "this year" i meant next year (2014/15)
