Don't bring in five guys just to fill the roster, bring in top quality recruits, if we have to save some schollies for next year so be it. Please don't fill the roster with average recruits. Go Ohio. Darn Wigginton, you broke my heart man lol.

While I realize it goes against what Saul has said thus far, I really think this is a situation where we need to consider signing one or two 5th year transfers who can play immediately. Rather than just sit on one or two scholarships for next year, I'd much rather use them for one year by bringing in one or two wings with experience to help bridge the gap, and then fill them with incoming freshmen for 2015-16. As of right now, we only have four players on the roster for the 1, 2, and 3 spots, and only two of those have any experience at the college level. That's a recipe for disaster.

Ultimately, I'd like to see us sign 2-3 freshmen (assuming we can still sign sufficient talent at this stage), 1 or 2 5th year guys, and then maybe take one high major transfer if we have one scholarship left. That would give us the best chance of competing this year, while leaving us with 4-5 scholarships for next year's class.

How soon should we expect to hear about a signing for this class?  I'm no recruiting guru, but isn't there a soft deadline in May?  Will we expect to take all the offers up to the deadline or can we expect some signings anytime now?

I'm trying to stay patient but it feels like "hurry up and wait" right now.

What I read in another thread was May 21st as the "deadline".   I'm not sure I understand how it works given the addition of Harley last September.

That deadline is for signing a National Letter of Intent.  A few years back, KVK signed a MAC Letter of Intent in the summer.  In Harley's case, it may have simply been verbal.  Don't confuse the NLI with a recruit's ability to accept a scholarship.
