Can someone smarter than I give a snapshot of just how bare the cupboard is at this point for incoming freshmen?  I understand there are still some transfers or JUCOs in limbo right now, but if coach wants to go find a couple uncommitted high school seniors, is he going to have a really hard time?

Consider me a +1 on that.  I'm very interested to know about the caliber of player that could be available to Saul's staff at this point.  I don't care if it's a JUCO player, transfer, or HS player.

I will say this - I hope they take the route of holding onto a couple scholarships over just adding a couple guys who are "bodies" on the bench.  This of course depends on how many of the prior commits they're able to retain.

According to informed sources in the NDSU fanbase, Saul has a track record of coming up with excellent late Spring HS signings.  Some of the Bison's best players came to them that way.  I think there's going to be a need to shore up the roster, and if Saul and staff can come up with a few really good players late, it would be a godsend, obviously.

Probably decent players that other schools decided to go in a different direction with or kids who had no idea where they wanted to go until late.  I would think nowadays many/most kids sign in the early period to get it done with.

I hope he is better at it than TOS because that was one knock on him was to be beating bushes late in the spring. Unless you got a kid that is flyng way under the radar for some reason like an injury or wrong school/aau prog with no exposure it is hard to find those guys.
