I will posit that part of this experience (the young man's experience at the game yesterday) is widecast video (TV/webcast)...being live as part of a large crowd for an exciting event--and knowing that experience is being shared by being watched on tv and webcast available everywhere on earth.
Specifically, 10,000 some folks gettin' "OU / OH YEAH!" crazy in The Convo for a comebacker vs. redhawk is both an excellent shared (social!) experience for those at the game and for those of us who watched via webcast. Same with the terrific OT win vs. Toledo.
This is what builds a excitement about a program. Which builds a program. Which builds excitement about a program, Etc, etc.
I like what happening.
1) thank goodness for the stroke of luck that gave us a 13k arena.
2) putting to further death the 'plaints of those who complain about midweek MACtion football games with their bigtime vidcast exposure
3) about 12-15 yrs ago, living in CA I rarely saw Bobcat sports. Now I can see scores and scores of foot, basket, VB, etc every year.
