Verbal Commits is showing that Ohio is recruiting Charles Minlend, Jr. from the Concord First Assembly Academy. No formal offer has been made.

I can't imagine Ohio would add another wing to this class, but it's weird that this guy has never been brought up before. At least if he has, I've not been aware of it or couldn't find him already on BobcatAttack.

Maybe these are what Saul wants. A bunch of athletic wings who can both score and handle the ball, thus alleviating the need for a true PG.

Two thoughts:

1) Maybe this is an in case type of thing?

2) Maybe someone is handing in their transfer papers and Charles is being recruited in his place.

I'd like to hope Saul would hold a scholly currently occupied for a transferring player for future years, or for another incoming transfer that would balance classes.

It looks like he was added to our database on VC on 1/15/15, but that was before we got the commitment from Gollon. If I had to guess I would say he is no longer an option for us.

Twitter has also stated that we have watched a PG (2015) at IMG Academy within the last month.

Love the idea of adding a PG, because we've seen that it's absolutely necessary to have more than one. I'm no basketball talent evaluator, but I would have concerns about reaching at this point in the year just to have a body.

This also leads me to wonder if there's someone planning to leave we've not yet heard about.
