I think it's fairly common for JUCO players to transfer within the JUCO ranks.  Perhaps he wasn't going to get enough run where he was at, or maybe he wanted to get out of Idaho.

I'm not overly concerned at this point.  Of course if he showed up early and was eligible to play that would be ideal although I'm not sure that's possible.

This guy looks interesting, if he makes the grades at the JUCO.  Also, noticed the JC had a commit from a 7 footer at TCU for 2013.  Wonder, if he'd be a possibility to come to OHIO.

JC did say he wanted to talk to some of his TCU recruits, maybe he can pull this guy our way.

We have to be careful about even the appearance of impropriety in discussing commits or student-athletes at other schools.

Always remember (never forget) the recruiting advantage that we have:  You can play for any team.  But there's only one OHIO in Athens.  No other school offers that!

Roughly one year ago we got a verbal from this guy and nobody knows where he is or what his story is.  I think I believe more in Big Foot then Anthony Allen!

I tweeted Arkley the other day and asked about him.  He said he attempted to contact Allen and the school he attended but couldn't reach them and got no response.  Not for sure, but it doesn't sound good.

If he does end up at Ohio...we should try to get the nickname "Big Foot" trending for his entire career.  People will assume it is because of his presumably large feet, and we can all enjoy the inside joke of his inability to be tracked.

He is a 2013 recruit. Not scheduled to be here until next year.

He is a 2013 recruit. Not scheduled to be here until next year.

I think it's fairly safe to say that Allen is not headed to Ohio. I have e-mailed the Southern Idaho coach to see if he has an update.

It looks like Allen has changed his basketball venue to another junior college, Lamar State in Port Arthur, Texas.    http://panews.com/sports/x941532328/LSC-PA-reloads-with-12-players/print  He signed a letter of intent 8-31-12. https://www.njcaa.org/colleges_college_intent.cfm?sid=4&collegeid=1758&category=Intent&slid=2  I have no idea whether Allen intends to still attend OHIO or whether Christian still has an interest in him doing so and what year that would be!

Allen was supposed to come in 2013, but according to this quote by his new coach, he will be at his JUCO for two more years. 

“He is a developing post presence who is very athletic, runs the floor well, and can be a game changer. I look for Anthony to score in the post, chase down rebounds, block shots, and be a force in the paint for the next two seasons. If he improves his footwork and continues to develop he has the potential to be a big-time Division I player.”
