With today being the first day of the early signing period, will we have an announcement coming for Carter's official NLI?

What about anyone else? I keep hoping for another point/combo guard to fill the second scholarship for 2016. I'm just not sure who has been recruited other than Culver, that might be able to fill that role.

An announcement on Twitter just now that Carter is signed.

I'm assuming Jason is going to be the only signee with this class? Since Ohio only has one senior in Treg, they'll only have one available after this season.

I might have misunderstood what you were saying, but Ohio still has one scholly left to give due to Ryan Taylor's transfer.

There might be some confusion due to Taylor still be listed in the recruiting chart. I'm hopeful that last scholarship can be used towards a good PG/Combo guard. I don't think you can ever have too many guys that can handle the point.

Doug Taylor is listed not Ryan Taylor. With Doug Taylor, the Bobcats have 12 scholarships committed for next year. So one remaining.

I realize the sample size is extremely small, but from the little we've seen I would highly consider us using the last scholarship on a true PG. It's the only position I see where if the starter goes out (Simmons), we're royally screwed. Gollon appears to be the guy getting the look and once again, he's really green, but he looks shaky at best. May be difficult finding a top flight guy when they realize they may have to sit behind Simmons a couple years, but that's the spot we're the thinnest at it appears.

Listen to Saul and it sounds like Dartis getting the first look. At the FGCU game Dartis was a bit slow with the trigger - to penetrate, create, or shoot. Dartis and Gollon could be more 2 guards in the long run.

Once again, tiny sample size, but I'd agree that Dartis looks like a 2.

I agree, the sample size is way too small on either guy to rule them out, or even form any kind of opinion on them as a player. That said, I think you can never have too many capable ball handling guards. I'll revisit this in a month or two, but right now, I still think that's what I'd do with that last scholly. History has proven that really good guards is usually the path to getting to and advancing in the tournament.
