Looks like the staff is making it a point to recruit smart players. I've counted three recruits in the works that are being recruited by Ivy League schools.

Chris Knight - Yale, Brown

Wyatt Yess - Yale

Bennett Vander Plas - Penn

I wonder if this is just circumstantial or an actual direction the staff is heading. I don't mind it. I like smart kids that know how to play and excel in the classroom. I just think it's a interesting dynamic and not sure if Ohio has battled for these type of kids in the past.

Gavin Block had an offer from Dartmouth. Gollon had one from West Point (not IVY, but pretty good I think).

I was about to make a post about this until I saw your post, GoCats. I like the idea of having a blend of personalities and abilities. Some teams go for straight crazy athleticism, which isn't bad, but having some really, really bright students, who are students of the game is a nice thing too.

I love a roster full of smart (both basketball and otherwise) players. Put a team of Nick Kelloggs out there and you are going to win some basketball games. But you also have to have the athletes. Smart helps a lot, particularly in a team concept, but it also doesn't always beat the man off the dribble.

There's a team down in Southwest Ohio that seems like it does that and only that. ;)
