Billythecat posted a link earlier from January that Ohio has offered. Not sure if that was accurate or not. I'd hate to let another local star leave though.

I he's truly a PG, and Ohio can get 1-2 more that they perceive to be better than him, I have zero problem with him not being a Bobcat. On the other hand, if he's really good, and is better than other PG/Combo guard options available to Ohio (I have no idea at all - not yet anyway) then it would be a shame to see him end up elsewhere within the state.

I hope that he doesn't end up at Akron and then come home to haunt us in game after game like a certain guy from Waverly that according to some unquestionably accurate reports here on BA wanted to be a Bobcat but who we didn't offer.
When Lutz starts getting offers, interest or takes visits to schools like Oklahoma State, Indiana, Dayton, Missouri or Xavier then I'll start to worry. Right now it looks like he's option #3.

Was unable to perform during the spring and summer AAU season due to foot surgery last February.

Concord's head coach is former Bobcat manager and Circleville native Todd May.

Heard also that Marietta College, one of the nation's top Div III programs, is interested.

May has also been a high school coach in the region and -- if I recall correctly -- spent some time at Columbus State when the program was doing pretty well.

Concord -- isn't that in Athens? (WV)

May is a former Bobcat Student Assistant for Coach Hunter here at OHIO and then went to Jackson with Dustin Ford, then was the head coach before moving on to Columbus State and now Concord. They are a nice DII Basketball program.

Former Vincent Warren standout Mike Hall plays for Concord. They play in perhaps the toughest Div II conference in the nation, the Mountain East.

FWIW

Another triple double in a win this weekend, 11 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists. Previous game (win): 18, 6, 6 and 7 (steals). He's a stat stuffer at this level.

Yeah it's great he's a local kid. But watching his game don't see much D1 material here. If he's taken, it will be a courtesy take by our staff.
